Been busy! Sorry for not posting before now. I have two projects for you, though, so hopefully you'll forgive me for not updating sooner.
Here's project number one. This is the first time I've ever scrapbooked a new vehicle - but you can tell I really love my new Santa Fe! Don laughed when he saw me working on it.
Don't you love this little car? It's from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge, I think from the groomsman page. I know it's a convertible, but it was just too adorable. Plus, it's not like there was an SUV cut available! I also used my Cuttlebug embossing folder to put the diamond embossing on the red paper underneath the car. Makes it looks "tough" - yeah, right.
I hid the journaling underneath the car. I don't like my handwriting. The reason I hand wrote it instead of printing it out is two-fold. I liked that the paper I wrote on had the nuts and bolts, and I was in a hurry.
Now the finishing touch. Valentine's Day was only a month and a half ago, and I thought these looked like those conversation heart candies. I bumped them up to make them stand out a little bit. I don't think this embellishment would be for everyone, but this scrapbook page is for me!
As promised, here's my second project. My awesome sister spoiled me last Saturday, so I needed to get a thank you card out to her. She'll be here tomorrow for Easter, so I'll give it to her then. You can't tell on the picture, but I used the glitter spray that Rosie gave me the recipe for. I think I'm going to be looking for projects just so that I can use the glitter spray - love it.
I'll try to post a little more regularly. Hope you'll come back!
Jill
How were you spoiled? You can't mention that without giving details...
ReplyDeleteI love the thank you card! I wish I had the waiter at the restaurant take our picture, so I could have the thank you scrapbooked with the picture. Jill and I went to Appleton's Performing Art Center for Little House on the Prairie musical, and then we went to the Melting Pot for dinner. The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant which I find really fun. I was also able to give Jill a really fun outfit which reminded me of her. The outfit wasn't really for her bithday...it was more a payment for all the clothes of hers that I wore when I was in high school!!
ReplyDeleteI had such a good time in Appleton with you. The restaurant food was very good, the performance was great, and the outfit was perfect. However, time spent with my little sister was priceless - did that sound like a commercial? Anyway, thanks Sara!
